Since last year's major bus terminals in Tongxiang City adopted the real-name system to purchase tickets, since July 15th this year, face recognition tickets have been installed successively in Tongxiang Passenger Transport Center, Wuzhen Bus Station, Puyuan Bus Station, and Chongfu Bus Station. The system is currently in trial operation. This is also Tongxiang’s first ticket checking system based on the implementation of passenger face recognition technology in the Jiaxing area.

Seen at Wuzhen Bus Station, passengers purchased the tickets from the real name system, entered the security inspection channel, conducted face recognition, baggage screening, passengers' own security check, entered the waiting room, and checked on the train to complete the whole process, realizing the “triple play” of people, cards, and tickets. Safety check, three matches can enter the waiting hall. “Because of the short trial run time, many passengers are still not adapting to this system. At the beginning, many passengers will not use it. Now we are all real name ticket sales. Like this face recognition system, you must buy your own ID card. Tickets, you can come in, so I think it is more secure and faster." Wuzhen bus station staff told reporters.

It is understood that relying on face recognition technology to automatically check tickets not only improves efficiency, but also improves the accuracy of ticket checking. In the past, in addition to checking the ID number, name, and checking the ticket, a person needs more than ten seconds, and if they are not careful, there may be omissions. After the system is installed, the station staff does a calculation. 5 seconds to complete the verification of a passenger, greatly improving efficiency.

According to the person in charge of the Tongxiang Transportation Management Department, Tongxiang’s four passenger stations will officially launch the face recognition ticket checking system from August 1st.
