According to reports from Japanese media, Bridgestone Corporation submitted a report to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan that it will recall 1,204,700 trucks and passenger car tires produced from January 2012 to August 2013 due to a potential leak. This number is the highest in Japan since the implementation of the tire recall system in 2004.
According to the introduction of Japan’s State Administration of Foreign Trade, the 40 kinds of tires produced by the company’s Tochigi factory after replacement of rubber parts have problems due to the process during a certain period of time, and cracks and holes in the rubber joints inside the tire may cause air leakage.
Since May 2013, the Japanese State Council has received a total of 14 fault reports such as blowouts while driving, and no accident report has been reported.
Bridgestone will replace new products if there is a crack or danger in the product. Bridgestone said that the same tires are also sold in Europe and other places about 100,000, will comply with national regulations for the same treatment.
