The world's first electric car battery replacement system GB released

On July 12th, the IEC international standard “General and Guidelines for Electric Vehicle Battery Replacement System Part 1” (IEC TS 62840-1), which was led by NARI Group, was officially released. The release of this standard has filled the gap in the electric vehicle battery replacement system internationally, and has enhanced China's international influence and voice in the field of electric vehicle charging and replacing. It has exemplary significance for Chinese equipment and standards “going out”.

Electric vehicle charging and battery replacement technology are two different ways of replenishing electric vehicles, and they are also a bottleneck restricting the development of electric vehicles. The battery replacement technology has a good application scenario in public transportation such as public transportation and taxis. By prescribing the replacement of electric standards, the battery replacement system, battery replacement station, support system, battery pack and other important definitions will be standardized, and the standard electric vehicle battery replacement will be standardized. The basic architecture, composition, interface, and classification of the system, and the use case analysis and solutions for the battery replacement system. This standard will promote the healthy development of the electric vehicle industry and get rid of the dependence on foreign standards in scientific research and industrial development. It has a forward-looking and guiding role.

The NARI Group is one of the units that started the standardization work of electric vehicle charging and replacing systems earlier. The standard was applied by China in August 2013 and obtained the International Electrotechnical Commission Technical Committee for Electric Road Vehicles and Electric Commercial Trucks (IEC TC69). Formally established. In the standard preparation, Nanrui experts acted as convener, and more than 10 countries including the United States, Germany and France, the three largest automobile producing countries in Europe and the United States, sent staff to participate in the work. After two years of work, it was approved by all TC69 members in October 2015.
