Staged Fracturing Technology for Roof of Broken and Soft Outburst Coal Seam in Coal Mine Area——Experiment of Luling Coal Mine Experiment

Huaibei Mining Group Luling coal mine "large-scale oil and gas fields and coal-bed methane development," the State Coal Mine Methane major science and technology development demonstration project is the Central Xi'an Institute of Coal Science and Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Huaibei Mining Group Co., Ltd. in Huaibei implementation The horizontal well of the broken soft coal seam in the Luling Mine in the mining area is divided into horizontal wells, and the daily output of coalbed methane exceeds 10,000 square meters. As of 8:00 on January 3, 2016, the daily gas production capacity of the well was 10172.5 cubic meters, and the cumulative gas production was 854,800 cubic meters. The distance from the liquid surface to the No. 8 coal seam was 181.33 meters, which created the ground coal seam of China's broken soft coal seam. The new record of gas production capacity of 10,000 square meters per day indicates that significant progress has been made in the research on key technologies for the efficient development of coalbed methane on the ground in China.

The main coal mining layer of Luling Mine is the No. 8 coal seam and No. 9 coal seam of the Permian Lower Shihezi Formation. It is a typical soft, high gas, prominent, low permeability and difficult to extract coal seam. In view of the problems such as easy collapse during drilling of horizontal wells in such coal seams and difficult cementing of casing and coal seams during cementing, the project team boldly borrowed advanced technologies for shale gas development and created horizontal wells for sand-shale roofs along the 2m coal seam. The design technology has successfully implemented complete development technology such as precise geosteering drilling, directional perforation, bridge plug isolation, staged fracturing and fine drainage, and established a demonstration project for surface coalbed methane U-well development. The horizontal well depth is 1485 meters, of which the length of the horizontal section is 586m, and the depth of the coal seam is 744 meters. In the 7th section, high-strength hydraulic fracturing is carried out, and 6627 cubic meters of fracturing fluid and 542 cubic meters of quartz sand are injected.
