Sinochem International recently stated that the group will invest together with Honeywell about 100 million U.S. dollars and build a production line for energy-saving and environmentally friendly new materials at Taicang Chemical Industrial Park in Taicang, Jiangsu Province. The production line is mainly used for the production of the third-generation fluorine-containing blowing agent (HFC-245fa) with an annual production capacity of 12,000 tons. It is planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2013. By then, the products produced will meet the growing demand for green foaming agents in the Asia Pacific region. It is understood that the Taicang energy-saving and environmentally friendly new material production line of Sinochem Corporation will be the nation's largest new environmentally friendly refrigerant production line. This technology has been monopolized by developed countries.
