Shiyan Commercial Vehicle Production Adds New Army

Recently, Shenhe Automobile Co., Ltd. was unveiled in Liyang District and became the fourth commercial vehicle manufacturer in Shiyan after Dongfeng, Sanhuan and Dayun.

Shenhe Motors is a local private enterprise in Shiyan City. Before that, it mainly engaged in the production and sales of modified vehicles. In the first half of this year, it achieved a production value of 1.27 billion yuan and a profit of 29.53 million yuan. In 2014, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology initiated the upgrading of low-speed trucks into commercial vehicles, and Shenhe seized the opportunity to invest 50 million yuan in the introduction of a new production line. In July this year, it was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and obtained the commercial vehicle production qualification. “From a modified car to a carmaker, this is a leap forward.” Jin Yuansheng, chairman of the Shenhe Group, said that it plans to produce 50,000 commercial vehicles next year, targeting the rural market and focusing on minivans.

According to Kang Shuangcheng, deputy director of the Shiyan City Economic and Information Commission, the light truck is a short board in the Shiyan commercial vehicle industry. The addition of Shenhe will make the industry chain more complete and can drive the development of a large number of auto parts companies. The data shows that from January to July this year, the country’s commercial vehicle sales totaled 2,393,800, an increase of 17.51% year-on-year.
