China and Arab countries will increase cooperation in animal husbandry and fisheries

China and Afghanistan should not only strengthen trade links, but also further deepen investment cooperation. China's technology and investment in the fields of agricultural and fishery product logistics, cold chain and warehousing will benefit the Afghan side. The two sides should focus on the long-term and actively promote the implementation of the consensus reached by the Chinese and Arab sides on the agricultural cooperation between the two sides during the "One Belt, One Road" Summit.

Echevere said that China's status as a major power is becoming more and more important. Afghan is looking forward to further expanding its trade with China's agricultural products. China also welcomes China's participation in infrastructure projects. The Arab side is concerned about the substantial access to exports of beef, aquatic products and fruits to China. It is hoped that the two sides will promote cooperation in biotechnology, seed industry, dairy industry, fishery, animal health and agrochemical products under the guidance of the China-Africa Ministry of Agriculture's Strategic Action Plan for Agricultural Cooperation 2017-2022.
