A few days ago, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. Announced the launch of a new series of HI-TMP® TANTAMOUNT® surface mount solid-state molded chip tantalum capacitors, the TH4 series, operating at -55°C to +175°C and 50% voltage derating. The AEC-Q200-certified TH4 capacitors can operate at temperatures far exceeding industry standards, providing a robust and more reliable product for design engineers in automotive and industrial applications.
TH4 series devices are suitable for various types of high-temperature automotive systems such as fuel mass sensors and transmissions, EAGR, throttle valves, and drive train control. In addition, the device is also an excellent choice for industrial applications related to high temperature material control, safety concerns and industrial tools, as well as oil drilling sensing tool equipment.
TH4 Capacitors are available in three standard EIA-535BAAC form factor B, C, and D packages. The device's capacitance is from 10μF to 47μF, rated voltage from 6.3VDC to 16VDC, and capacity tolerances of 10% and 20%. The device has been tested for 100% inrush current, complies with RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC, and has RoHS-compliant tin or gold terminations. The development route of the TH4 series includes products with higher voltage and capacity.
Samples of the new TH4 series are available now and volume production has begun. The lead time is twelve weeks.
