Rockwell Automation introduces the latest enhanced Allen-Bradley Micrologix 1100 Series industrial controllers with a wider voltage range, faster speeds, and expanded communication capabilities. By integrating control, communication and visual interfaces into a compact module, this new controller can meet the needs of many different applications in the industry.
Mr. Pete Bell, Product Marketing Manager, MicroLogix, Rockwell Automation, said: "Because of its advanced communication capabilities, the MicroLogix 1100 Series controllers provide the functionality to communicate with other high-end controllers on the market at a competitive price. Communication capabilities and web servers allow users to share enterprise-level information faster and reduce overall operational costs."
The B-Series MicroLogix 1100 controller has an Ethernet server built in to notify users of production problems via email. The embedded communication port and WEB server enable users to access real-time control information, allowing users to share this real-time information with OEM partners, remote maintenance engineers, and production personnel.
With the built-in multi-function text LCD, users can easily get basic status information of the controller and its I/O. This ability to monitor and modify data values directly through the display helps reduce the need for additional operator interfaces in many applications.
The MicroLogix 1100 DWD controller is ideal for applications powered by a 12 volt power supply.
The MicroLogix 1100 enhanced controller was launched in March. The MicroLogix 1100 DWD controller is available in May.
