Half-month transition period
It is reported that the State Council has agreed to implement the fifth phase of national motor vehicle air pollutant emission standards in advance . According to the relevant requirements of the Regulations on the Prevention and Control of Motor Vehicle Exhaust Pollution in Guangdong Province (revised in 2010), the fifth phase of national motor vehicle air pollutant emission standards will be implemented in advance with the consent of the provincial people's government.
From March 1st, light-ignited engine vehicles sold, registered and transferred in the Pearl River Delta region shall comply with the national emission standard “Light Vehicle Pollutant Emission Limits and Measurement Methods (China Stage 5)†(GB 18352.5) -2013) Emission control requirements, implementation of OBD system NOx monitoring and OBD actual monitoring frequency (IUPR) related requirements; at the same time, stop sales, registration and transfer to vehicles that do not meet the above requirements.
The Guangdong-East-North region was postponed until July 1st to implement the above requirements. For the heavy-duty compression-ignition engine vehicles of the bus, sanitation and postal industries that are sold, registered and transferred in the Pearl River Delta region, the circular requires the implementation of the fifth phase of national motor vehicle air pollutant discharge standards from July 1.
The notice also stipulates that from now until February 28, 2015, the transition period, vehicle sales during the transition period, registration of new vehicles, change registration of foreign transfer and transfer registration can still be implemented according to the original standards.
More strict emissions standards
Motor vehicle pollutant emissions are an important source of air pollutant emissions.
