Completion of self-elevating drilling platform independently developed by China

China's self-elevating drilling platform has been rewritten in Qingdao since its history of importing - on September 3, the first self-elevating drilling platform designed and built by gear racks was completed in Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. Delivered and used, China National Petroleum Corporation has its own intellectual property rights.

This offshore drilling platform was named Zhongyouhai No. 5. The jack-up rig was started on August 31, 2006 and was completed in one year. The platform has a total length of 75 meters and a total width of nearly 50 meters. The designed working depth is 4.5 meters to 40 meters. The maximum drilling depth is 7000 meters. The platform can drill 20 wells without moving in the same place. The designed service life is 20 years. The 70DB drilling rig produced by Baoji Petroleum Machinery Co., Ltd., which is selected by the platform drilling rig, is the most advanced ultra-deep AC variable frequency digital controlled drilling rig developed by China. The platform has the ability of drilling, cementing and auxiliary oil testing. The platform has good production and living guarantee facilities. The oil, fresh water and food that the platform last replenished can maintain the staff's life for 20 days.

According to experts, earlier this year, CNOOC introduced designs from abroad and produced similar platforms. The self-elevating drilling platform completed by China Petroleum Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., from process design to construction and construction, was independently completed by China and has reached the international advanced level.

In recent years, the pace of offshore oil exploration and development in China has been accelerating, and there is an urgent need for offshore oil engineering to provide a strong guarantee. Since its establishment in 2004, China National Petroleum and Ocean Engineering Co., Ltd. has insisted on increasing its reserves and production in China's oil offshore oilfields, and is committed to building equipment. Since the beginning of this year, 10 new platforms have been approved, of which 7 are under construction and 3 have been completed and put into production. According to relevant personnel, Zhongyouhai 5 will be towed into the Bohai Bay area in recent days to ease the pressure on the shortage of offshore exploration and development drilling platforms.
