Chang'an R & D Center layout five countries focus on new energy and commercial vehicles

Chang'an Automobile Beijing, Harbin and Jiangxi Automotive Research Institute have announced the establishment of three major research and development bases. The Changan Automobile has formed a new global R&D structure of “three countries and seven regions”. The new R&D base will focus on new energy and commercial vehicle applications.

At present, Changan has established R&D centers in Chongqing, Turin, Italy, Shanghai, and Yokohama, Japan, making the world's time resources, talent resources, and technical resources useful. With the addition of new R&D bases in Beijing, Harbin, and Jiangxi, Changan will also establish independent R&D centers in the United Kingdom and the United States, and build a global R&D deployment in “five countries, nine sites, and each with their own priorities” to further enhance their independent research and development capabilities.

Among the three newly listed R&D centers, the Beijing R&D Institute will conduct research and development work in North China, initially positioning itself in commercial vehicle (light truck), new energy and policy research. The Harbin and Jiangxi institutes provide R&D support for local production bases.
