For transformers that force the oil to circulate air-cooled, water-cooled, and guided water-cooled, the following processes should be performed when cooling systems are deactivated (fans, submersible pumps, cooling water systems, etc.)
(1) When the "Cooling Unit Power Failure" or "Standby Power Failure" light word appears on the control panel of the transformer, immediately identify the cause so that the cooling unit can resume its operation as soon as possible.
(2) When the word "cooling water cut off" appears on the control panel of the transformer, the reason should be promptly checked so that the cooling device resumes its operation.
(3) If the above two kinds of fault signals appear, you should pay attention to the transformer upper oil temperature and oil pillow oil level changes. When the cooling unit is completely out of service, a sharp rise in oil temperature and possible oil run-off from the explosion-proof pipe (or safety air duct) may occur. When the cooling unit resumes operation, the oil level of the oil pillow drops sharply again, and the oil level drops below the scale of -20 ℃ and there is a continuing downward trend, the heavy gas protection device should be deactivated immediately. If the cooling unit can not be brought back into operation within the specified time, the value leader shall be reported and the transformer shall be taken out of operation.
