Hokkaido University announced on Oct. 8 that it has succeeded in improving the conversion efficiency by 2% using chameleon luminophore technology whose luminescence color changes with temperature in crystalline silicon solar cells. This is the result of a research by Professor Hasegawa Yasuya, a professor at the Graduate School of Engineering and Technology at Hokkaido University, which is said to have risen 2% to the highest in the world.
