The "Dragon" high-power AC drive electric locomotive with the world's advanced level was successfully launched today at Hunan Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. It is currently the first heavy-duty transport locomotive in China with a capacity of more than 20,000 tons. It is also the world's largest power AC drive electric locomotive.
Previously, this locomotive development technology with the ability to pull more than 20,000 tons of cargo has been monopolized by Western multinationals. Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. through the introduction of technology, and then digested and re-innovated, in less than two years, overcoming the technical difficulties of 20,000-ton heavy-duty transport locomotives. It is understood that they will provide 180 sets of this type of locomotive for the "Da Qin Line", valued at 7.34 billion yuan.
