(3) SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. (a total of 2,404,438 vehicles):

The 2008-2012 Passat new collar car produced between September 2, 2008 and October 14, 2012, totaling 281,482 vehicles;

Part of the 2010-2011 Passat leading car produced from April 10, 2010 to September 10, 2011, totaling 14,110 vehicles;

A total of 50,594 units of the 2013 Longhang/Langjing Motors, which were produced from March 28, 2013 to December 5, 2013.
The front airbag of the driver's seat or the passenger's seat of some vehicles within this recall range is equipped with an ammonium nitrate gas generator without a desiccant produced by Takada. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be abnormally damaged, causing debris to fly out and injuring the inside of the vehicle, posing a safety hazard. Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd., FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd., and SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. will replace the new model of the driver or co-pilot positive airbag or airbag for the vehicles within the recall range according to the plan. The recall was carried out under the circumstances of the AQSIQ initiated defect investigation. Since June 2014, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has organized a defect product management center to conduct a defect investigation on the rupture of Gaotian airbag gas generators, and issued a safety warning for Takada airbags to consumers. Since the beginning of this year, the AQSIQ has repeatedly interviewed vehicle manufacturers including Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd., FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd., requesting them to take effective measures as soon as possible. Consumer safety. Affected by the investigation, the above three producers decided to take recall measures to eliminate potential safety hazards.
