Technically controlled by lack of standards is the key However, the status quo of China's industrial robot industry is not very satisfactory. According to the data from the International Federation of Robotics, the current global manufacturing industry robot density (the number of robots per 10,000 people) is 58 units, while China's robot density is less than 30 units. This number is 1/10 of Germany and 1/11 of Japan. The low density of robots is due to the late start of the development of China's robotics industry, and the bigger problem caused by the late start is the state of follow-up development from the very beginning, and it has long been suppressed in the downstream of the industrial chain. Although there are support plans from the central government to the local governments, they are generally scattered and not systematic, and it is difficult to form coordinated development. This has led to overall unsatisfactory support results. In particular, there is a lack of top-down top-level design in policy planning and industry standard formulation. At present, the industrial standards of China's robotics industry still follow the mechanical industry standards established in the 1990s, which has long been out of line with the development of the times; and in terms of calibration, there is no unified testing agency that specifically targets robotic calibration. In addition, some of the development plans involved in the field of robots have been reviewed, and there is no definition of robot standard calibration.
The survey found that at present, there are problems with quality control in some robot companies that mainly focus on integrated machining. In the absence of standards, there may be deviations in the experience of each robot, which will ultimately impede corporate buying enthusiasm. As a result, it is difficult for robot manufacturers to achieve quantitative production, and production costs will not fall. In the end, they may completely lose the opportunity to compete with imported companies.
At present, the lack of standards and constraints on the development of China's robotics industry has caused the attention of the central government, relevant departments, local governments, and related companies. Not long ago, the inaugural meeting and the first plenary session of the National Robotics Standardization Group and the Expert Advisory Group were held in Shenyang. The purpose of setting up an overall group of robots standardization is to fully condense all aspects of China's related political, industrial, and research forces, establish and improve a robot standard system, support the continuous, healthy and orderly development of industries, applications, and services in the field of robotics in China, and promote the standardization of robots in China. The process of work. The Robot Standardization Experts Advisory Group is mainly responsible for providing consultations on robotic standardization work techniques, guiding the standardization work of robots, and proposing major issues for robotic standardization work. This means that the solution to the robot standards problem has started to take action at the national level.
How to promote avoidance of robotic "big cake"
The economic benefits that can be achieved through scientific and technological progress are incalculable. As a product of the development of science and technology, robots have brought about earth-shaking changes in people's production and life. As an industrial big country and a populous country, China’s advantages in demographic dividends are declining day by day, and it is facing huge pressure from robot substitutions. Pressure is also a driving force. For most of the old companies, the upgrading of production equipment is undoubtedly an excellent opportunity for industrial upgrading.
From the above, we can see that China's robotics industry is facing the situation of the two worlds. On the one hand, we have a large enough market to meet the development of this industry. On the other hand, we do not have enough advanced technology and more standard industry standards to control its fate. Technology is the mouthpiece of a company. Only with excellent technology can it have the right to speak in the industry. Although China currently has an internationally enviable market, it does not have the right to speak. What needs to be solved now is to improve the ability of scientific and technological innovation and increase the international competitiveness of products.
In addition, although there is a certain gap between China's robotics and foreign developed countries, it can be targeted at the developing country market, especially in Africa and Southeast Asia, which are in urgent need of construction. Because of the same category, in the case of similar performance, China's robotic equipment has a certain price advantage.
