Quantum Introduces QTouch Series Charge Migration Sensing

Quantum Research recently announced the QT1100A-ISG, the newest member of the company's QTouch family of charge-transfer sensors, including digital controllers that detect proximity or touch motion. The device has a separate sensing area; all channels can be independently tuned through their respective serial ports, and can be configured to meet specific applications. The AKS compares the signals received on each channel to ensure that only one primary touch buffer is used as a button touch, thereby avoiding a single touch but multiple key response misoperations. Spread spectrum modulation provides effective noise rejection to eliminate false triggers while reducing RF emissions. The sensor uses an external sync pin to reject the dominant frequency noise.
