1. Working Principle
The LPX utilizes the floating force of gas bubbles in the fluid to be measured. When flowing into the LPX from the inlet, the fluid containing gas bubbles will rush against the guiding tube mounted in the body and makes an eddy current.
By the effect of the above eddy current, small gas bubbles are collected into large ones. The bubbles which have become apart from the liquid will go upward and then flow out from the top of LPX.
2. Operation Guide
  1. In order to clean, overhaul and install more quickly, some LPX are designed into Quick Discharge type.
  2. The up-cover is the brace framework for installing the manual valve, gas auto-eliminator and tightening bolt. The hoop is used for connecting the up-cover and body of LPX. Unpack the tightening bolt to open the hoop so that take out the eliminator of gas to clean, overhaul or replace.
  3. LPX should be mounted in the pipeline or upstream the filter and flowmeter according to the arrow on the body. Before installing the LPX, please assure that all the parts of LPX are in good condition, there is no impurity and then clean out the gas in the LPX and pipe system.
  4. For environment protection, it is necessary to connect proper vent-pipe or oil exit pipe downstream the mechanism of gas auto-eliminator and the valve of manual gas eliminator to collect the gas and drainage. It is forbidden to discharge indoors the gas out of LPX. According to the special requirement, the hole of drainage can also be connected pipeline of steam or hot water. Before the halt of use, it is necessary to thaw the oil product by steam or hot water so that LPX can work well next time.
  5. As shown in Picture 4, for maximizing the performance of LPX, it is necessary to mount one counterbalance valve or set one elevatory pipe after the outlet of flowmeter so as to produce the back pressure of 0.015MPa~0.03MPa. The elevatory height is calculated as follows: H=2.2m×(ρ÷ρi)
