The People's Daily reporter learned from the AQSIQ: Recently, FAW Car Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, and decided to recall it from October 15, 2014. A total of 478 domestic Mazda 6 Atz sedan produced between March 13, 2014 and April 24, 2014.
It is reported that due to the filtering characteristics of the fuel pump controller (FPC), the starting current to the fuel pump may be incorrectly determined as an overcurrent when some vehicles in this recall range are driven from the idle stop state to the engine automatically restarting. The fuel pump controller (FPC) overload protection causes the fuel pump to stop working and the engine to stall, posing a safety hazard.
FAW Car Co., Ltd. will update the fuel pump controller (FPC) control program for vehicles within the recall to eliminate safety hazards. FAW Car Co., Ltd. will contact the relevant owners through FAW Mazda Service Station to arrange free maintenance.
