Changchun Research Institute successfully developed a new type of membrane conductivity measuring instrument

Recently, the Jilin Science and Technology Development Program project undertaken by the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, “the cross-linked conductive polymer materials and their application in analytical chemistry” passed the expert appraisal organized by the Science and Technology Department of Jilin Province. However, the existing conductive polymer composite film material has the disadvantages of being easily peeled off from the electrode surface, swelling, and poor reproducibility of stability. Design and synthesis of ion-selective, high removal efficiency, reusable new materials, whether for their analysis and detection, or extraction and separation have extremely important theoretical and application value.

The material electrochemistry group led by Niu Li researcher for the first time introduced flexible bis-thiophene monomers linked to conductive polymers, synthesized bisthiophene monomers with flexible chains and special functional groups, and prepared conductive polythiophene. The novel network-like conductive polymer with a three-dimensional adjustable cavity molecular structure as a skeleton, directly imparts species selectivity to the body of a conductive polymer film through a functional group on the flexible chain, and a cross-linked structure of a conductive polymer The pore structure in the membrane can be controlled by adjusting the proportion of the polymer monomer and the length of the flexible chain to achieve a selective response to the target species, which is widely used in the fields of analytical detection and separation and enrichment.

They also successfully developed the electrochemical in-situ film conductivity measuring instrument, which can combine the electrochemical method with the conductive polymer film conductivity measurement. At the same time of electrochemical signal acquisition, the conductivity of the film can be measured in real time. It is a domestic initiative and has a broad market prospect.
