The most common fault in an automotive cooling system is the "water tank pan" that causes the car to break down and lose water. Accompanied by the tank boiling and depletion, there are acceleration and power failure. To overhaul the tanks, the first thing to do is to ensure that other relevant parts of the vehicle are normal, such as using the correct number of fuel, oil, spark plugs, and antifreeze, and adjusting ignition timing and idling air-fuel ratio. The cooling system is further checked with these aspects normal.

The inspection order should be:

Look at the tank first. The normal water tank should have the same temperature on the upper and lower sides when the car is driving. If there is half heat and half heat, it is possible to judge the internal clogging of the water tank. The tank can be connected to a 2 kilogram pressure water pipe and flushed backwards. If the blockage is severe, a small amount of cleaning agent can be used. At the same time, pay attention to the dirt of the cleaning tank and observe whether there is any leakage.

Next, look at the thermostat. Some people think that removing the thermostat can prevent the water temperature from being too high. Actually, the thermostat will not cause the water temperature to be too high as long as it functions normally. The engine is very harmful when it is operated at low temperatures for a long time. In addition, many engine thermostats are also used. It is a two-way action. When the thermostat is closed, the cooling water is forced to go through a small loop. When the thermostat is opened, the small loop is closed and the cooling water goes through a large loop. If the thermostat is not installed, due to the throttling effect of the local resistance of the pipeline, the actual flow to the large circulation is very little water, but the water temperature rises instead.

Finally check the pump. There are three ways to damage the pump: leakage, lost rotation and impeller corrosion. The so-called discarding is that the clearance between the pump shaft and the impeller is too large. When the engine speed reaches a certain value, the pump impeller cannot reach the corresponding rotation speed, resulting in poor water circulation. The fan is the main component of the cooling system. Some cars have eliminated the fixed fan and replaced it with an electromagnetic and fan with a silicone oil clutch. Its characteristic is that the fan basically does not work when the cold car, but the heat dissipation reaches the maximum when the hot car; the main fault of the silicone oil fan clutch is the oil leakage, and the main fault of the electromagnetic fan clutch is water temperature switch damage, line damage, electromagnetic coil damage . In addition to cooling the engine as a cooling medium, some of the heat can also dissipate with the exhaust. The engine oil can also take away some of the heat, and the air convection around the engine plays an irreplaceable role. Therefore, do not forget to check when the engine overheats. Exhaust systems (especially those with catalytic converters) are smooth, and the oil and transmission oil heat sinks are intact. In addition, the wind deflector near the engine fan (commonly known as the wind circle) plays a crucial role in the heat convection in the engine room. Attention should be paid when checking.

In order to prevent the failure of the cooling system, attention should be paid to the maintenance of the cooling system. The maintenance of the cooling system includes:
